A two storey building housing an Indian restaurant in Bloordale Village was reported to be completely engulfed in flames. Toronto Fire responded to the scene of Bloor St. near Emerson Ave. just after 6 p.m. to find South Indian Dosa Mahal Restaurant on fire. Heavy smoke could be seen from the street as aerial units attempted to put out the flames. According to Toronto Fire, the blaze was under control about two hours later. Fire officials gave the all-clear that no occupants were found in the building following a search of both floors.
