Authorities in a ward in Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam have fined a restaurant VND6.5 million (US$255.4) for kicking tourists out of the facility as they were shooting videos of their complaint about the high prices of dishes at the diner. The fine was imposed on Minh Phi 1 Restaurant in Ha Khau Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. The ward also required the restaurant to phone to apologize to the tourists, who were from Thai Binh Province, also in northern Vietnam. Authorities in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam work with representatives of Minh Phi 1 Restaurant. The Ha Long City administration affirmed that it would improve the city’s tourism environment and strictly handle establishments deliberately violating regulations on price listing and goods quality.
