Findings with a moderate level of risk included weekly controlled drug checks not being recorded; three-monthly GP medication reviews not being documented, and signatures not completed on medication charts. Low-risk rated findings included four of five staff files showing no evidence of orientation checklists being filled out, and two did not include an up-to-date performance appraisal. Some compulsory staff training had not been completed and training in other areas was lacking. Whalan Lodge facility manager Sarah Green said a previous audit conducted in April 2018 was a "big learning curve" for the lodge, and noted auditors were "pleased with this audit and how far we've come".
