Children from the Child Rights Club, an affiliated body of Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (SPARC), have demanded the government to allocate resources for the protection and promotion of children’s rights. They made the demand made during a press conference and an awareness walk for children’s rights on the occasion of International Children’s Day at the National Press Club Islamabad. The walk was attended by a large number of school children and children’s rights activists. They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans for children’s rights. Earlier, speaking at the press conference on the occasion of International Children’s Day, the SPARC children demanded the federal and provincial governments to increase the allocated amount of resources to improve the situation of children’s rights in Pakistan.
