A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker has submitted in the Punjab Assembly a resolution seeking the cancellation of disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s assembly membership, a private media outlet reported on Tuesday. The resolution was submitted by PTI MPA Momina Waheed. According to reports, the resolution states that Nisar is tarnishing the image of the legislature by not taking oath. Another independent candidate, Naseerul Hasnain Shah, stood second by securing 22,253 votes while PTI candidate Naveed Sultana had grabbed the third position by bagging 19,247 votes. Other seats that Nisar had submitted his nomination papers for included NA-63 Taxila, NA-59 Rawalpindi, PP-12 and PP-10.
