Two years ago, the govt declared Kohinoor Flats vulnerable and directed to have them vacatedFAISALABAD: The government of Punjab has decided to hand over the possession of Kohinoor Flats to the people residing within them. The decision has been made on the proposal put forth by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) MNA Faizullah Kamoka. Reportedly, Kohinoor Flats was constructed during the 1980s to accommodate the people working at nearby factories. Speaking to The Express Tribune, PTI MNA Faizullah Kamoka stated that the government was initially planning to offer residents financial compensation after vacating them. However, after meeting with the chief minister, a committee was constituted for the purpose of allotting the flats to the residents.
