Dian Edmondson/Supplied Adding insult to injury, Edmondson was told that the damage to the tyres wasn’t covered, unless the car had been stolen. She said there were at least four other vehicles on Atawhai Cres that had slashed tyres, including a pop top caravan. Another woman who lived in Tahunanui said her car was parked on Muritai St and three of its tyres were slashed on Saturday night. A police spokesman said it received two reports of tyres being slashed in Atawhai Cres and Dodson Valley Rd on Saturday and were still making enquiries.
