rp1BREMERTON — Kitsap Transit began to accept reservations Monday for its cross-sound fast ferry service that begins July 10. Reservations won't be available for the 20 Saturday trips because they're not expected to be needed. Reservations can be made at the beginning of each month for the following month. Beginning on Aug. 1, the cost will be $2 from Bremerton to Seattle and $10 from Seattle to Bremerton, about $2 more than the state car ferry in each direction. Riders can make reservations by going to KitsapTransit.com, visiting the customer service office at Bremerton Transportation Center or calling 800-501-RIDE.
