Photo: ODTPolice are preparing to launch an inflatable rescue boat (IRB) to rescue two swimmers who got caught in a rip off a Dunedin beach this afternoon. A police spokeswoman said a friend of the pair called police at 5.07pm saying they were "stuck in a rip and struggling in the water" at Tomahawk Beach. The pair had since climbed up on to rocks and were no longer in immediate danger. Police were preparing to launch an IRB to rescue the pair.
