Where I think that the House process went off the rails was with that — that venture by the chairman to the White House. If not for the even more troubling Russia scandal, this would be a full-blown, front-page scandal in and of itself. He was the one to insist an investigation into Russian influence in our elections could be conducted by the intelligence committee.
