Republic of Congo Marchers Want to Leave International Court

About 300 people have marched in the Republic of Congo's capital to demand that the country leave the International Criminal Court. Thursday's march comes shortly after three African countries, South Africa, Gambia and Burundi, announced they would leave the tribunal that is meant to pursue some of the world's worst atrocities. Some African countries say the court unfairly targets the continent, though many of its cases were requested by African states. The country's youth minister, Destinee Doukaga, says the treaty that created the ICC is at odds with the Republic of Congo's recently amended constitution. Local human rights groups are condemning the call to leave the court.
