The House of Representatives has reiterated its resolve toward enacting laws on diversification of the economy with a special focus on green, blue and digital resources economy. Chairman, House Committee on Monitoring, Evaluation and Implementation of the Legislative Agenda, Hon. Patrick Umoh gave the assurance during the post-National Roundtable on the state of the economy, and expressed optimism over the country’s potential as a digital hub of Africa. He, however, disclosed that the National Assembly has in pursuance of its constitutional mandate, made several interventions both at plenary and Committee levels toward the resuscitation of our national economic challenges. “The contributions of our development partners- Konrad Adenaeur Stiftung and Afrexim Bank towards the success of the Roundtable are worthy of appreciation.
