The second peacock captured in Oamaru is enjoying his temporary home in a chicken coop in the town. The second rogue peacock meandering in Oamaru was apprehended on Tuesday, after its partner in crime was captured last Thursday. However, Waitaki District Council regulatory services officer Kyle Thompson-Connell believed a third peacock was on the loose, and staff would be "keeping an eye out". The second peacock was caught by a Blue Stone Dr resident on their property and was being kept in a chicken coop there for the time being. The latest incident comes four years after an eight-month saga of chasing George, a peacock who ran wild in South Hill.
