Fire crews are heading to the scene of what is believed to be an out of control burn-off on farmland in North Otago. Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager John Ditmar said crews from Kurow, Weston and the Waitaki Voluntary Rural Fire Force were en route to a property in Danseys Pass Rd near Livingstone, about 35km north-west of Oamaru. A rural fire officer was also travelling to the scene, he said. No further information was immediately available.
