PETALING JAYA: Tourism Malaysia has clarified that it is not associated or involved with the Asia Pacific Tourism and Travel Federation (APTTF), and has never endorsed its Asia Pacific Tour and Travel Awards. With regard to the recent exclusive in The Star, Tourism Malaysia urged the public, if they wish to lodge any complaints regarding tourism matters, to use the proper channel provided by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry’s Public Complaints Management System here. There were supposed to be about 200 award recipients, which the event organiser claimed was endorsed by Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines, which has also denied any involvement. Participants said they had doubts about the Asia Pacific Tourism and Travel Awards after the event turned disorderly.
