Report shows shocking rate of violence experienced by wāhine Māori

The Government is bringing together 10 departments under the programme, Te Hau Tangata, to tackle the issue. The Government report on prevention of family and sexual violence from ministry of justice data, showed one in two wāhine Māori experience sexual harm. Green Party co-leader and Minister for Family violence and sexual violence Marama Davidson led the launch of Te Hau Tangata.
