He said he felt he had no alternative given that defence still had to get full disclosure whatever the outcome of the psychiatric report was. The 40-year-old man stood quietly in the dock at Porirua District Court on Friday after greeting supporters in the back while Judge Denys Barry ordered the report. The man faces four charges of sexual violation, rendering the woman unconscious with intent to commit sexual violation, threatening to kill, detaining the woman with intent to have sexual connection with her and unlawfully entering a building with intent to commit a crime. Police have previously said the woman was home alone soon after 6am when a man came to her door saying he was looking for his daughter.
