The Philadelphia Phillies reportedly have signed veteran infielder Logan Forsythe to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training. The 33-year-old Forsythe hit .227 with seven homers, 39 RBIs and two stolen bases in 101 games with the Texas Rangers last season. In nine big-league seasons, Forsythe has hit .246 with 70 homers, 305 RBIs and 42 steals. He also has appeared in 14 playoff games, during which he has hit .297 with six RBIs and two stolen bases. The Phillies are set to begin their spring training action Feb. 22 against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Fla.–Field Level Media
