PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian ambassador to Chile was robbed and threatened by a group of five men at his residence in Las Flores Avenue, Las Condes, Chile. According to Spanish news portal Bibiochile.cl, the men had allegedly threatened to kill Datuk Dr Mohamad Rameez Yahaya's five children and cut off his wife's ears. It reported that the incident took place at 11.15pm on Sunday (11.15am Monday Malaysian time). Dr Mohamad Rameez, when met by the media hours later, said he was beaten on the head before his hands were tied. The Star has reached out to Wisma Putra and the Malaysian Embassy in Chile for confirmation of the incident.
