Report: Influencers, publishers expect revenue boost as brands invest more on native ads

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine brands are set to invest more heavily on native advertising than on display ads next year, driving optimism among “influencers” and publishers who, in turn, expect a boost in their revenues. According to a report released by content marketing platform GetCRAFT on October 18, brands are poised to increase their native ads spending to a median of 21-30 percent in 2018 from 11-20 percent this year. The bullish investments on native ads are expected to spur optimism among publishers and influencers, with some 83 percent of influencers expecting their revenues to at least double in 2018. “In fact, 4 percent of the influencers in GetCRAFT’s survey expect their income to grow by as much as five times. Some 43 percent of publishers meanwhile expect native ads to form more than half of their revenues next year,” the report also said.
