OTTAWA – Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said building a brand-new official residence would be the least of his concerns if he becomes prime minister. Poilievre was asked during a press conference in Oshawa what he would do with the official residence if he forms government but hinted he would not care the least to deal with this file. “We don’t need a new home for the prime minister. Poilievre has also had an official residence of his own since becoming leader of the official opposition, nearly a year ago. The state of Canada’s official residence for the prime minister has been making headlines for years and has garnered international media attention – not for the right reasons.
