KOTA KINABALU: Pupils in SK Pekan Telupid will need to spend about a week studying in makeshift classrooms as repair works are being done on their damaged school building. Telupid district education officer Mahanin Osman said repair works have entered its final phase where the roofs, ceiling, floor and other areas needed to be fixed. "Don't worry, we are doing our best to get the job done as fast as possible, hopefully within a week," he said. Mahanin explained that repair works started in December during the school holidays. There are over 800 pupils in SK Pekan Telipok, but those who had to study under the canopies involved 452 of them from Years Two to Years Five.
