A summer of music, pubs, holidays abroad and sports beckons as the country gradually returns to normality over the coming months. Ministers Catherine Martin and Jack Chambers said last night that further increases in numbers allowed at indoor and outdoor venues would be considered in August. Summer holidays abroad will also be permitted from July 19 as ministers yesterday agreed to accept fully the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC). The cert shows whether you are fully vaccinated, contracted the virus in the last nine months or have been tested prior to travel. Mr Martin said that 20pc of the adult population was now fully vaccinated.
