Rental car drivers travelling on a popular tourist route will be delivered safety messages by bluetooth in a trial launched by the Government on Saturday. Transport Minister Simon Bridges and Associate Transport Minister Craig Foss said the trial would deliver audio safety messages to rental car drivers on the Christchurch to Queenstown route. It will see safety messages sent from roadside transmitters, via Bluetooth, to devices fitted in rental vehicles.
