CAIRO – 25 January 2021: Egyptian authorities have placed politician and former presidential candidate Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh and his son on terror lists for five years, the Official Gazette reported. The Muslim Brotherhood group has been also blacklisted for five years, along with other people including famous figures with links to the outlawed group. The placed individuals include women called Faten Ismail and Maha Azzam. Egypt has designated the Muslim Brotherhood group as terrorist since late in 2013. This came after former President Mohamed Morsi, who also served as head of the "terrorist" group, was ousted.
