NewsEminent political jurist and senior Supreme Court advocate Fali S. Nariman died in Delhi on Wednesday. In November 1950, he was enrolled as an Advocate of the Bombay High Court and in 1961 he was appointed as a Senior Advocate. He practiced as a lawyer for more than 70 years: initially in the Bombay High Court and from 1972 in the Delhi High Court. In May 1972, when he moved from Bombay to Delhi, he was appointed Additional Solicitor General of India. The senior advocate was awarded the Padma Bhushan in January 1991 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2007.
