In November 2017, Pakistan received $213 million in remittances from the UK, which is 10% higher than $193 million that the country received in the same month of the previous year. Saudi Arabia and the UAE left behindRemittances from Saudi Arabia and the UAE – the two most important sources of remittances for Pakistan in the Gulf – are continuously declining. Pakistan received remittances of $409.5 million from Saudi Arabia in November 2017, down 12% compared with $465 million in the same month of 2016. Remittances coming from the GCC (other than the UAE and Saudi Arabia) countries remained almost flat. Pakistan received $192 million from the GCC countries in November 2017 compared with $193 million in the same month last year.
