Watching the young man playing with his barely-out-of-puppy-hood mongrel, I worried for the future. Puppies and young dogs learn to fight for what they want, but they are also strictly controlled by an older dog. So the man allowing his young dog to control the game was effectively allowing the dog to do what it wants. Play with animals, but make sure like a good parent that you teach it that the game starts - and stops - under your control. Invite it to play, don't let the dog lead the play with someone unable to take control.
