KUALA LUMPUR: The remand order for the seven youths suspected of involvement in the arson attack which killed 23 students and teachers of the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz has been extended for seven days. City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed on Friday that the remand for the seven suspects had been extended until Sept 29. The suspects had earlier been remanded for a week and their remand was supposed to end on Sept 22. The 5.15am fire on Sept 14 at the tahfiz school resulted in the death of 21 students and two teachers. Seven suspects aged between 11 and 18 were arrested in connection with the incident.
