PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been given more time to investigate the Tan Sri who tried to bribe the Sultan of Johor. Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Ab Rahman accepted the MACC's request to extend the remand on the 54-year-old Tan Sri, which ends Tuesday, for another three days. On Firday, the court allowed the man to be remanded for five days to be investigated under Section 16 of the MACC Act. It was reported that Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, wrote on his official Facebook page that he was offered RM2mil to suggest a person's name to the Chief Secretary to the Government for a "Tan Sri" title. It is understood that the MACC will investigate accusations that the individual was a "broker" for royal titles apart from probing his sources of income.
