NewsWork on exhuming the remains of slain journalist and former Editor of The Sunday Leader newspaper, Lasantha Wickrematunge commenced this morning at the Borella Cemetery. The exhumation process had to be briefly halted due to the presence of a drone that was taking visuals of the exhumation while it was in progress. A judge ordered for the remains to be exhumed after a fresh investigation was launched regarding his death. Mr. Wickrematunge was murdered while on his way to work in January, 2009. A military intelligence officer is currently under arrest for allegedly being connected to his murder.
