A Walnut Creek woman who had been missing since heading out on a road trip to Joshua Tree National Park in June has been found dead. Skeletal remains found in a desert field in Wonder Valley on Jan. 31 were identified as 37-year-old Erika Lloyd, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Lloyd was reported missing by her family on June 17. Lloyd was identified through her dental records, according to the Sheriff’s Department. On a “Bring Erika Home” Facebook page, her brother thanked the Sheriff’s Department and those who helped in the search.
