KUALA LUMPUR: The special task force to probe the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz fire will hold it first meeting on Tuesday, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic). The Deputy Prime Minister said the task force will look into the recent tragedy and previous recommendations made by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) set up to probe fire incidents involving religious schools. "The task force will look at the recommendations made by the RCI to determine to what extent they were used and implemented with regards to the safety of religious schools. He said that previous RCI recommendations should serve as a guideline for the present task force. Dr Ahmad Zahid, who chairs the task force, said it will comprise ministers including heads of departments from relevant safety, education and enforcement agencies.
