The violence led to the death of two persons and the displacement of many others. Five persons have so far been picked up by the security personnel in connection with the unrest and are currently helping with investigations. Police in Chereponi have said they are on high alert over concerned there may be more attacks in the area. He further added the numbers of security personnel available to deal with the situation is woefully inadequate.
