The Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on a petition filed against a High Court order for reinvestigation into money-laundering charges against former foreign minister M Morshed Khan, his wife and son on Thursday. A four-member Appellate Division bench, led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, set the date on Tuesday after hearing Morshed’s leave-to-appeal petition filed challenging the High Court. The ACC lawyer said Hong Kong police have kept the accounts closed since 2008 following an administrative order. Finally, the ACC filed two petitions with the lower court seeking its order to revive the case and conduct further investigation. The ACC subsequently filed a revision petition with the High Court.
