Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has said regular payment of taxes, rates, and levies are civic responsibilities expected of good citizens, as they would further propel the government in the provision of more democratic benefits. In his acceptance speech, Oba Samodu assured that his tenure would bring tremendous improvement in infrastructural development and provides adequate security of lives and property. xMEANWHILE, Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has underscored the importance of the media in achieving a free, fair, and credible election in the forthcoming council poll. Chairman, OGSIEC, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, who made the submission during the State Media Analysis Team (SMAT) visit to the commission in Abeokuta, maintained that the media was instrumental to the success of any electoral process, just as it is a strong pillar in the enthronement of good governance. While noting that one of the key components of a credible election is the sensitisation of the electorate to perform their civic responsibilities, he called on the SMAT to collaborate with the commission on regular dissemination of information.
