Reexamine Philippine heroes and revisit history in MCADBy THE MANILA TIMEShome/Campus Press/Reexamine Philippine heroes and revisit history in MCADIn line with the ongoing exhibit of the “Spectre of Comparison,” the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) presents a series of public lectures and workshops on Filipino heroes and Philippine history this June. “Poetry in Neon,” a hands-on workshop, which aims to assist children ages 8 to 10 to visualize poetry through hues, is slated on June 15, 3 p.m. at the MCAD Multimedia Room. In collaboration with the Museo Pambata, the “Storytelling Playshop on Filipino Heroes in History” will teach kids about the Philippine greats on June 29, 10 a.m. also at the MCAD Multimedia Room. Philippine National Artist for Literature Dr. Resil Mojares will headline “Re-visiting ‘Rizal Reading Pigafetta,’” which exposes an alternate background on the national hero, on July 4, 3 p.m. at the MCAD Multimedia Room. MCAD is located at the DLS-CSB School of Design and Arts Campus, Dominga Street, Malate, Manila.
