McGahan, 25, the New Zealand son of former Roosters and Kiwis rugby league captain Hugh McGahan, has signed a one-year deal to join Brad Thorn at Ballymore, bolstering Queensland's No10 stocks alongside Hamish Stewart. Selected for the New Zealand schoolboys in 2010, McGahan switched to follow in his father's footsteps in rugby league and spent three seasons in Melbourne with the Storm under 20 team.
