Injury-plagued Gunners forward Kai Havertz came on for the final 21 minutes to make his first appearance since the opening weekend. Arsenal again capitalised on a corner, with Martinelli claiming the match ball by heading through the hands of Pompey keeper Josef Bursik and into the roof of the net from another Madueke delivery.
