By the eve of CFL free agency, Redblacks GM Marcel Desjardins had cut about halfway into his off-season to-do list. According to the CFL.ca official free agent tracker, Desjardins had extended 15 players but still has 16 more without a contract as Tuesday’s 12 p.m. deadline approaches. Ten of the Redblacks heading toward free agency are in their 30s. 1 quarterback (Trevor Harris), starting left tackle (SirVincent Rogers), top two running backs (William Powell, Mossis Madu), and best import receiver (Greg Ellingson). Unless he has a busy morning, Desjardins biggest signings could very well be of players hitting the open market from other teams.
