The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to a two-year contract extension with defenceman Brian Lashoff. The two-way deal will pay Lashoff a reported $700,000 at the NHL level and $275,000 at the AHL. The 28-year-old Lashoff originally signed with the Red Wings as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Lashoff has appeared in 123 regular-season games with the Red Wings. He appeared in 75 games for the Red wings in 2013-14, but has not played a game for the club this season.
