In just 12 days, Red Sox pitchers and catchers report to Fort Myers for their first workout on Feb 13th. Two days ago, Red Sox President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made one of those deals. On Tuesday, the Red Sox agreed to terms with 29-year-old former New York Mets reliever Jenrry Mejia, as reported by John Heyman. The best case scenario for the Red Sox is that Mejia returns to a similar form of 2014 when he recorded 28 saves. The signing of Mejia will probably not be the last Red Sox signing before the start of the the regular season on March 28th in Seattle.
