The cause of his death is unknown, but it is believed he died on August 18. An online post on the band’s official Instagram account said: “We of the RHCP family would like to wish Jack Sherman smooth sailing into the worlds beyond, for he has passed.”Sherman played on the first Red Hot Chili Peppers album that was released in 1984, and wrote songs on the band’s second, Freaky Styley. The band added: “Jack played on our debut album as well as our first tour of the USA.
