Red Dead Online's Biggest Problem Is Not That It Costs $600 To Buy Everything

Red Dead Online is attached to a $60 game, saves your progression and is now selling microtransactions, but sure, we can keep calling it a “beta,” I guess. Doing the math, we already have calculated that it takes 2,134 gold bars, the now-buyable premium currency, to purchase every item in Red Dead Online right now. If you were buying those $99 bundles, it would cost you just under $600 to get 2,000+ gold to buy everything in Red Dead Online currently. While Red Dead will no doubt add more content in time, unlike GTA there are no fighter jets or supercars or attack choppers on deck. Granted, some of these issues are things GTA Online got past to become this huge revenue generator, but I do think RDO faces a unique set of challenges.
