Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas returned to practice Sunday, less than five weeks after undergoing thumb surgery, coach Scott Brooks said. Brooks, however, said Thomas remained questionable for Wednesday night’s regular-season opener at Dallas against the Mavericks. “He looked great,” Brooks told reporters Sunday, adding Thomas had been a full participant in practice. Probably not, but we’ll see.”Thomas, who signed with the Wizards as a free agent in July, was expected to start this season. Entering his ninth season, the 5-foot-9 University of Washington product has averaged 18.6 points and 5.1 assists in his career.
