ATHLETICS: Records have tumbled during the second round of the Central Regional Teams' competition in Palmerston North. Manawatū Community Athletic Track stadium age grade records and Athletic Manawatū Wanganui records were bettered during last weekend's racing. In the 200m Wilson bettered the stadium age record for grades 18 to 20, when he clocked 21.94s to win this event. In the women's event Watson was second, with 5.15m, and Sam Mackinder fifth, with 4.82m. Guy Pedersen, throwing the 700g implement, had the second best distance, recording 44.77m.
