Underlying operating profits edged up by 1 per cent to £124 million and the company increased its dividend by 5 per cent to 6.6p a share. Qinetiq, which was spun out of the Ministry of Defence, listed in London in 2006. It provides defence research and technology, including battlefield robotics, and employs about 6,000 people.
