The winners of next season's Premier Sports Cup will secure a record-breaking jackpot as SPFL chiefs revealed a bumper increase in prize money and TV income for the League Cup. Lowland League winners East Kilbride and Highland League winners Buckie Thistle will join the 38 SPFL clubs in the draw. Neil Doncaster, chief executive of the SPFL, said: “We’re delighted to announce record prize money for our flagship cup competition next season. Premier Sports have been fantastic supporters of the League Cup and of our national game. That investment has enabled us to further increase the funds we can make available to clubs competing in our premier cup competition.
