Although 2023 had multiple months of record-breaking temperatures, December temperatures ranked higher-than-average in all lower 48 U.S. States, according to AccuWeather. This was not confined to the U.S., as historically high temperatures are still being measured throughout the world, reported the Guardian. A local farmer opened up about how her farm will struggle if there is not enough snow. “When our children and grandchildren look back at the history of human-made climate change, this year and next will be seen as the turning point at which the futility of governments in dealing with climate change was finally exposed,” said Hansen.
