The walnut vinaigrette is wildly good – make more than you need as it’s delicious on roasted vegetables too. FRENCHMAN’S SALAD OF NUTS, BACON & BREADServes 4 as an entrée. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add more olive oil if necessary. Slice baguette into 1cm-thick slices and brush one side of each with olive oil. Cook bacon in a non-stick pan over medium heat until beginning to crisp on the edges.
